I dedicate an entire unit (with my high school students)on the psychology of magazines and other pop culture “isms”. The students are always shocked by how many subliminal messages they are receiving. I also always show the Dove soap clip called, “the evolution of beauty”. There are so many public outlets design to make women (and men too) feel inadequate. Glad to hear that others are rallying against this!
