Puj Tub Product Review

Remember that adorable guest Katie Richardson, recall how fashion can be found beyond the traditional borders of dresses and hats? Well today let us admire fashion in a tub, created by the pretty product designer Mrs. Richardson owner of Puj (pronounced like rolly, polly pudge).

Watch below for a video demonstration of the Puj Tub:

Puj Tub Product Review on Howcast

Now on to what I fancy to be Puj Tub’s most fashionable qualities:

  1. The name/logo is almost an anagram (puj tub). Clever & chic.
  2. The tub is modern white, bearing not a single cartoon character or cute saying.
  3. As my washroom has no more storage than the 3 inch depth cloaked behind my mirror, I appreciate that the Puj Tub stores inconspicuously behind my bathroom door.
  4. The magnets are enchanting. Using them makes me feel like a wise origami master.
  5. Besides being antibacterial and antimicrobial, the soft foam holds up well. ( I know because my sister-in-law let me borrow her used edition until I was awarded my own by Puj.) There are few things less satisfying than purchasing a shiny, white gadget of any type only to have it streaked and soiled within a few uses.

Should you too wish for an elegant bath time, tip toe your clicker over to Puj Baby.

If the uncharacteristically casual (by Cardigan Empire standards) thermal henley I wore in the video caught your eye, check it out on sale at Shade Clothing.

We’ll be talking about my transition into maternal fashion tomorrow and don’t you think a giveaway is in order? Shade has philanthropically offered me some maternal samples, and I intend to talk.

Guest Brand: Puj & Katie Richardson

Might I introduce: Puj Baby
Name: Katie Richardson

Age: 29

City of Residence: Portland, Oregon (I love the NorthWest!)

Pithy Title for your hybrid of Signature Style:
Classic:Modern & Funky:Feminine
Brief Narrative on your Personal Brand of Sartorial Fashion:
I feel my best when I am looking my best. I am a stay at home, mother of 3 boys (5,3, & 1)and I get “dressed up” everyday. I find that it is just as easy to put on a cute dress and boots as it is to put on a frumpy sweat-shirt and baggy jeans. So don’t be afraid to be bold and have some fun.

How old were you when you figured out your sense of style?
My style is constantly evolving and I am still trying to figure it all out. But I will say that I suppressed my natural curl until the age of 19. Then one day I decided to let it run wild and I unleashed my hair. I have never looked back and the curls are now a big part of who I am.

Who is your style icon?
Pamela (my mother). Frequently when I wanted to buy something my mom would say, “We don’t need to buy that Katie, I can make it for you” And then she would. She even made my wedding dress and I could not have been more thrilled. She taught me to be fearless and just go for it! My favorite pieces are ones I made for myself. Celebrity Icons I like : Audrey Tatou, Rachel Weisz, Garance Dore and these girls

What’s your best piece of fashion advice for women?
When I try something on I rank it from 1-10. If it’s not a 10, I don’t buy it. Even if it’s a really good bargain. Save your money and spend it one something you REALLY like and that is flattering on you. And tailoring something to fit you right can take it from a 6 to a 10. Pay attention to the silhouette.

Where do you shop when you want a bargain?
Consignment stores (ie Buffalo Exchange or Good Will) If it’s not a screaming deal I almost never get it. With a little creativity and the help of my trusty sewing machine I can alter, create or re-fashion anything to make it original and make it Katie. Most of these pictures are outfits that I have made for myself.

Where are your top 5 places to shop overall?
Second-hand (consignment, e-bay or Good Will), Target (what’s not to love about a place where I can buy diapers, wipes, mascara and a feminine ruffly top) DSW (no outfit is complete without the right pair of shoes) Fabric Depot (best fabric store in Portland, OR) and One of a kind Boutiques (great inspiration!)

What body issue do you dress around, and how?
Well, if you must know, I have a soft (delicious) core. I do my best to accentuate my neck, legs and arms. I have always found an umpire waist-line to be the most flattering. Fitted in the bust with a gradual flair down and outward.
