Clear Winters have the contrast typical of Winters, they also have a clarity in their features, reminiscent of Spring. They commonly have very bright and striking eyes that allow them to shine in colors that might overwhelm others.
Deep Winter, also known as Dark Winter, is set apart by its depth. The colors are cool, strongly saturated, and relatively pure.
Cool or True Winter is flowing into the Summer category. It is the coolest of all the seasons and includes a bit of a blue undertone in each of its recommended colors.

Savannah really shines in silver, her eyes pop, and her skin looks vibrant rather than waxy.
There are so many individual colors in Savannah’s dark hazel eyes and the hunter green spotlights this. The wrong color leaves her eyes looking muddy and flat.
Savannah has such beautiful contrast in her coloring and cobalt blue has equal strength. According to David Zyla in Color Your Style, this would be her dramatic “look at me” color, and matches the color of her veins on the underside of her wrist.
Cool, contrasted Winter complexions can wear a depth of coloring that overwhelms less pigmented complexions. The depth in their eyes, hair, and lips is made more vibrant by corresponding colors.
The fuchsia pink mirrors the pretty pigments in Savannah’s lips and cheeks. It has no orange as fleshy colors can be particularly unflattering on Winter complexions.
One of the unique aspects of Deep Winter is their ability to wear shaded colors, or hues with black mixed into them. Burgundy picks up the subtle highlights in her hair and shows off its shine.
While many women find safety in wearing black, Savannah glows in it. The same goes for pure, optic white without any yellow.
