Living Vicariously: Pixie Hair

Recall in “Roman Holiday” when Audrey (aka Ann) shears all her princess locks
I’ve longed to do that for many celestial revolutions. (I wouldn’t turn down a follow-up jaunt through Rome and the consumption of gelato a la cone either.)
However, my current appetite for lock adventure is presently dormant.  But yesterday, I saw a set of dainty features framed by strong eyebrows that would stun with just such fringe.  Below are the “afters” of Coco’s first haircut:
And forget not my adult friendly friend, Lyndsay Mrs. Johnson, who knows how to cut, style, and strut a pixie coiffure.  Her story just may give you the gumption to follow your own hair ambitions.

I’m a pixie girl already, and I’m never going back!

I’m a pixie girl too and probably always will be, but sometimes I wish I had the courage to grow it out. The in between stage is scary!!

The great thing about hair? It grows back! Hair is my favorite “toy.” I have done everything. Pixie, long, shoulder length, layers, bangs, no bangs, curly, straight. Red. Blonde. Brown. Blue. Green. Pink.
Not black. I’m not sure I have that in me.

I loved having a pixie cut, but it was a LOT of work to style. Every day. Long hair is easier for me.

I agree with Anne – in between IS scary!

I have to say I’m in the middle of growing my hair out but I keep looking at cute short cuts and remembering my short hair and thinking maybe I’ll go back to that. But then again… there is something nice about being able to pull it back into a ponytail and not worry about it, especially at the gym. – Katy

I chopped it all off and released my inner sass last year. It’s liberating!

Have you seen Emma Watson’s new short do? Very Mia Farrow and I love it! Coco looks adorable, as always.

I wish I had the courage to go from blonde to brunette! I have blue eyes and have always loved dark hair with blue eyes. I’m just such a chicken! I need a serious hair makeover!

That’s me! I was just thinking it’s time for a little trimmy trim to keep my sideburns in check. I clicked on your blog, and there I was. 🙂 Miss you, Mrs. Momma. Your hair is ALWAYS enviable!

I have had a pixie for a year and a half now, and now I am growing it out, a process I loathe. I have wings over my ears. Ew. But the pixie is an awesome ‘do, that’s for sure! And Coco is adorable, as always.

Little Coco is absolutely adorable. Love those little curls.

I’ve had every haircut known to man. That’s what happens when your sister is goes to beauty college. Right now life is crazy so updos are suiting my needs.

I used to have pixie hair, but I’m growing it out now. I really prefer longer hair, and I totally think it’s easier.
