Over the years, one thing Mr. Bagley & I have learned about small humans, is that their level of attraction is directly proportional to their level of entertainment. Unfortunately, whenever little ones come to visit the Bagley Residence, the common refrain is either a flat “There’s nothing to do.” or a flabbergasted “Where are all your toys?”
While traveling in Utah this summer, I found a solution: Frosty Darling 
From there the squealing and overuse of the adjective “cute” begins. If given time I would also use the words, “charming” “retro” “western-pop” “fresh.” For example, “Don’t you think that stuffed squirrel exudes just the right amount of western pop while at the same time alluding to a delightfully strange Warhol aesthetic?”
The counter is surrounded with vintage candies: Bubblegum cigars, candy lipstick, whistle pops. Each little cranny cradles a unique, locally made craft: onesies, stuffed donkeys, baby aprons, pillows . . . all get the handmade treatment. I walked away with a petite collection of handmade finger puppets for the godkids which I garnished liberally with state-fair worthy candies.

Right now Dutch (14-month old boy) is more interested in books than anything else. Unfortunately he could care less about HIS books and only wants to turn the pages in MY books.
Ember’s (4 years old) is her doll Sophie. She’s been a constant accessory since about age 2 when her Nana bought it for her. She’s the one that is not replaceable.

Isabella (age 5)) hearts her “mimis” which his her pink blanket. She has had since birth. It has a retro flower on the edge of it. She takes it everywhere but if she cant, she has to rub the flower a bit for good luck before we depart. GIGI (age 14 months) adores her binkies, which she has in a variety of colors to coordinate with outfits!! OH AND THEIR MOM IS A PRETTY GREAT ACCESSOTY TOO!!SHE COMES WITH HER OWN CURLY CUES!!!
None of my children have a permanent accessory, but Ella (age 4) has her “snuggle blanket” which was knit for her by a friend and is coming apart all over, but she won’t give it up. Henry (2) is currently in love with his “Paul” a doll that my husband’s grandma crocheted for him
Landon(23 months)loves “Cow”. He can’t go to bed without it. Mason (3) loves his airplanes and Taylor (6) still loves listening to Junie B as he goes to sleep.
You can usually find my oldest son with some Lego creation in his hand or his sketch pad.
Eleanor’s favorite accessory is her dangling, Eric Carle car-seat toy, “Mr. Ladybug”. Complete with gender confusion.
Miss L age 9 and loves her American Girl dolls and always has a book in her hand. Miss M age 5.9 loves playmobil, Littlest Pet Shop and her American Girl doll when she plays with her sister!
Mei Mei is most interested in her “little peoples”. They go on trips together and do all sorts of fun things. Sometimes I wish I had my own airplane like they do!
My little man’s (10 months) is a ultra cozy lovie blanket, I it rub on his cheeks and he melts to pieces and gets an enormous grin on his darling face.

Carl, a totally worn out stuffed rottweiler. He came to us when Thomas was just born along with the book “Good Dog, Carl.” Carl used to be soft, but almost four years of love have turned him rough and his plastic eyes show cataracts from his baths in the washer. I’ve had nightmares where we’ve lost Carl. Carl goes to bed with him every night and was there with Thomas when he had surgery last month. Our Carl really is a good dog.
My 2 year old loves is “pack-pack” and my 6 and 7 year olds always have their Nintendo DS Lites in their hands!

My baby loves her purple elephant!
Its bizarre (and please don’t read anything into my parenting from this) but my 16 moth old daughter’s favorite thing to carry around is a roll of toilet paper. She loves it. She cuddles it. She tries to take it to bed with her. She squeezes it with delight and says “Oh!” It’s the only thing she is attached to (besides my bosoms).
My daughters favorite accessory is her polka dot purse and her white straw hat. Yes a combination that would melt your heart with such fashion!

Mo and his sock monkey are nearly inseparable.
Clark’s (4) favorite is his father’s old-school Optimus Prime transformer from when he was a kid.
Jack’s (2) favorite toy is the wooden train set.
The little man LOVES his Lightening McQueen race car, and would take him almost anywhere if I would let him. The little princess can’t live without her little stuffed monkey, Mortimer. I’ve search high and low to find a body double for washing purposes, but once he made his television debut on an AT&T commercial I’ve never seen him again…
My daughter loves dolls. She has several and loves to play with them.
His name is dog.
I was shopping in Walgreen’s one day and on a whim handed my baby a stuffed brown cute dog to let her play with.
She is not almost 3 years old. And dog goes with us to daycare, to church, to bed, to the grocery store
Where you find my Ella, you will find her dog.
P.S. Dog only gets a bath maybe 4 times a year! When I can sneak one in!
June likes her fingers best (8 mos.), Ruby likes her sparkly silver sandals that “click like high heels” (age 3), and Alli likes books best (Currently “The Wind in the Willows” is the favorite)(age 5).
My little one (2yrs) is in love with her “B” which is her beloved blanket. We can’t go anywhere without it. I don’t know how I am ever going to break it to her that she can’t take to kindergarten or college.
My 3 boys all love the Hee Man toys that my husband played with when he was a kid. My mother-in-law stored them for over 20 years (castles, dungeons, action figures) and now the boys have inherited them.
My personal favorite is Hee Man himself, he has two paper punched holes on the back of his skull from Nick’s mischievous little sister back in the day.
My girl’s favorite is a LPS lion. My boy’s is a tiny stuffed dog named Lucy.
It is amazing how over the years the favorites change.
One toy fascination that truly reached a zenith level was Sweet Boys love of trains. My love was to hear him sweetly breathe “choo”.
Hot wheels are now the favorite but I will never part with the choo table.
My almost 3 year old LOVES actual accessories. He doesn’t have a favorite toy, but whenever we go out he needs his sunglasses and/or hat. He would carry a purse if I would let him!

My favorite toy when I was little was my horses. Breyers horses and barbie horses and sparklie long hair horses. I still have them all.
My garlic press. Eve can’t live without it. It’s about the simple things when you’re one.
Right now my 5 1/2 month old loves her pacifier. She can hold it and pick it up and put it in her mouth. A delicious treat for being such a big lady.

Oh no! I have kept this little shop my personal secret because it’s soooo darling and I love the amazing assortment of unique items found there! I’m afraid my secret is out. LOve love love my pink bib with lightning bolt from there!
Right now my boys are really into their Kinex toys. They build them into little swords or “ships” like on Star Wars. They carry them around in their pockets, usually several at a time all sticking out at random angles. It’s so funny!
Ellie loves books right now. She can’t get enough of them!
My 9mo old daughter’s favorite toys are anything with an electric cord. I am forever moving the lamp, the iPod, my cell phone charger…… I need to broaden her horizons!

I have 3 beautiful little princesses. These are our current accessories: Ava (5 yrs)can’t go out the door without her pink jelly shoes; Elizabeth (3 yrs) insists on wearing her Snow White dress everywhere (every day should be Halloween shouldn’t it?); and Mia (16 mos.) loves sporting her birthday suit which is fine by me cause I love giving her chubby bum a little spank here and there!
Gracie LOVES her lala, a small lamb head attached to a soft blanket (lovie). It creeped me out at my baby shower, so it was fitting that she picked it to be her “best friend” almost 4 years later. 🙂
My 6 month’s favorite accesory is her very soft bunny. She loves to snuggle with it.
My 4 year old loves his horse and when it is not with him, he is usually talking about it. My 2 year old loves basketballs and anything to do with them.

We hear the “No toys” comment often from children coming tour residence as well. I should buy something to entertain them..
