So my parents and sisters arrive on the Thankful Morrow in preparation for my baby wedding. House Guests + House Party = House Renovation Reveal. Really excited to get moving with the renovations now. Even the little things like the windows being done are getting me excited. Friends are sending us so many suggestions for what to do with our windows, like sending us the link to this website, that we now have so much inspiration!
But First, the Full Before.
Apologies for my unseasonably ungrateful tone in the description of this house.
You can read about my issues with my husband’s mistress here. He’s been spending more time talking to decorators, plumbers, the WDR Roofing Company, and other contractors than talking to me recently. But it’s fine…
Are your Pin It buttons ready?
The Living Room
The Kitchen
Oh no honey, there’s a hole in our countertop! Don’t worry I have this piece of laminate we can lay over it. |

It just has that, “I’m really just a garage with laminate flooring feel.” Funny because that’s exactly what it is. Which reminds me! For as long as I can remember our garage door has not been working correctly. No matter how hard we try, it just will not close fully! Our friends in Illinois have gone through something similar but were telling us just the other day that after searching for a company that specializes in Garage door repair in addison, they were able to call out an expert to get it fixed. We will have to find someone close to us who is up to the job pretty soon, I think. |

Master Bathroom
Is that real carpet in the bathroom? You betcha, right up to the toilet. Crazy cozy right? |
Did I mention Andrew closed on this gem, the week Levi was born?
Such a nest.
And on Friday, I promise to “Move That Bus.”

Yes, we did change the entire structure. My husband took it down to the studs and took most of those out as well. You can see it here: https://cardiganempire.com/2011/12/after-house-makeover-special.html
